Well folks - welcome back to the bulletin. Soz ive been away for quite a while but its been a hectic month and my major fan base was out of the country so tasks got prioritised. After threats of removing the RSS feed from their iGoogle and late night heavy breathing phone calls i thought id better get the blog dusted off again.

You are acutally lucky to be reading this cos the latest entry is quite a shocker. I was almost a pile of dust!! I was doing some decorating in an old house and putting up some dry lining boards. An old plug socket ive never seen anything like before was really proud - and in a bathrooom! So we decided it was dead and started knocking it to pieces to shove into the wall. I tried removing it with a screwy and after I decided the screws were too tight and the unit still too proud i gave it a few more bashes with the hammer. As i did this I got a massive flash from the socket.

I had just put the hammer across the phases by the looks. All i could see were orange and purple dots from welding flash. There was also a chunk welded out of the hammer. Lucky for me the hammer had a rubbber handle or i'd have been toast!

Well after yesterdays fun and frolics were back to the good old digits. Was out digging in the garden last night and yup.... index finger number 2 took a battering. Got it trapped between the spade and a rock and took a nice chunk out of it. Wicked.... Ah well.... News is im thinking about getting a chainsaw in the near future to chop some trees down. This blog could get quite colourful! Im already wincing at the thought.

Bit of an odd injury today folks... Its actually not a physical injury. I was all fit and rairing to and going for the first day without an injury bulletin when i came across this picture on a website i visited and its scarred me for life. It summer, the birds are singing, the ice cream is flowing and the sun is shining..... A LOT!!!!! Spent the day valeting a car on Saturday bathed in the glorious stuff. First decent sun of the year and im done nice n crispy just like in the pic. Must remember to put cream on next time! Forgot the ozone layer isnt as thick as it used to be. Yours in pain.... You could not make it up. Today were back to kicking the crap out of my fingers. Earlier in the week it was trying to slice it off, today its bludgeoning it to death in a door. Went to the server room and no light on. Fumbled around trying to find the switch and closed the door against the server rack door. OUCH. Almost snapped my middle phalanx.

Well well well.... Look who came to town today! Chuffing hayfever. Almost piled the scoob en route to work cos i was sneezing and wheezing so much. My eyes are like sheeps tw@s and its just not funny. Oh im so glad its summer.

30 May 2007 - Another Cold

Well the finger is better now... thanks for the get well cards. After a heavy weekend of partying and the old immune system low after a bug the previous weekend ive been afflicted by another cold. Not an injury as such but i swear im gonna greak a rib at some point with the coughing and sneezing. The picture of the day symbolises my current state perfectly.
